What Is It Like To Eat With A European Family
By: Madison
Last night, my whole family went to eat with a European family that works with my dad. They were really nice. Their house was bigger than I thought it would be. There were about 4 or 5 levels in the house. The family had 3 girls, two were not there, and a little girl that was I think 6 years old. I can't really remember what her name was, but she and Caroline were playing together. The 6 year old could only speak French and German. I couldn't really tell which language she was speaking though. When we got there, we had snacks before dinner. After the kids had snacks, the adults would talk and talk and talk and talk! We got bored so we played in the backyard and played soccer. Even though the little girl would try to cheat, it was still pretty fun. She showed us through her house and I noticed some differences between their house and my house. I noticed that their backyard was narrow but very long, and that they had a lot more levels than my house. I loved that their doors were old and that they had a different way to open them and that they had a lot of rusty detail to it. After we walked through the house, we walked to the Italian restaurant and I had pasta for the second time that day. It was REALLY good. They had french bread too (my fav!!)! Overall, I really liked meeting that family. I learned a lot.
